Our mission is to fulfill Christ’s command in the “Great Commission,”

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Movie Night 2014 (Shoeheel)

Maxton- On Friday August 15th, 2014 Shoeheel Church held its first of what is expected to be many family movie nights. Some 35 people ranging from the age of four to the age of 84 shared in eating some pizza, ice cream and cake and some wonderfully made theater style popcorn. Thanks to all of those who helped to make this a pleasant night out.

Beach Trip 2014 (Shoeheel)

Maxton- One of the most important things the church can do for their children and youth is to teach them that Christians can and do have a good time serving the Lord without a lot of the things that the "world" says are required to have in order to enjoy life. This was evident when about forty members went down to Myrtle Beach State Park. For some of the youth it was the first time they had been to the beach with the opportunity to get in the water. The adults all brought picnic baskets that were then shared by the entire group, as well as, passersby. The group played games, sat around and fellowshiped and slept for a while going and coming back. A special treat was the parks on educational program which shared some of the wildlife common to the park are birds, frogs, turtles and yes even that least admired of fellows snakes. The outing demonstrated that you can have an exciting time with the Lord if you really have the desire.

Cleanup 2014 (Shoeheel)

Maxton- It is interesting to see what forty years of wear and tear can do, whether it is to a building, a sign or a driveway. Here at Shoeheel the results were very visible with the building needing painting, the brick sign out front was decayed with small lettering and was pushed over by one big push from one man. The drive way had ruts in some places two feet deep hard to imagine but this was the case. But no longer because the members and friends of the church took the initiative to clean the church property inside and out, pressure washing the church, painting trimming hedges, mowing the lawn, clearing wooded lots, picking up debris and preparing the driveway to the point that it now ready for paving. Seeing all of the deterioration that had taken, only intensifies, the story of the children of Israel and their remarkable journey of wandering in the wilderness and not even a stitch of their clothing wearing out.
