MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to fulfill Christ’s command in the “Great Commission,”

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

The Fall Harvest 2018 (Shoeheel)

On October 20, 2018, several people from our conference church's attended the city of Maxton's Fall Street Festival to share with the community that God is real and that He Loves them. We spent the day enjoying the cool weather and witnessing to those that passed. We were about to witness to 286 people! We made sure to tell every person that we came in contact with that Jesus Loves them and that He is the only way that they could get to Heaven, and if they didn't know him that today would be a great day to do so! We had a booth that had free pens, coloring books, tracts and of course toys for our kids. Mrs. Nicole Locklear made sure to take every child aside and read to them John 3:16. We had a wonderful time telling everybody about Jesus and we also loved hearing the stories from others about their love for Jesus and how he had been good to them! We had people to stop by to give us encouraging words and pray with and for us. We would like to encourage every church to join us on our quest to tell everybody about our Savior Jesus Christ.
Matthew 9:37-38 Reads Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
If you would like to join us feel free to contact Nicole Locklear at 910-258-1606.

Evangelism at Lumbee Homecoming 2018 (Shoeheel)

IMG-0597web

Pembroke- In 2018 the overall point of emphasis for the congregation of Shoeheel Holiness Methodist Church (SHMC) has been evangelism. With this in mind members of the church along with some from our sister church New Bethel (NBHMC) thought that the annual "Lumbee Homecoming" would be an excellent opportunity to spread the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Under the direction of the Reverend Harold D. Jacobs, Director of musical programming at the church a float was designed as a parade entry. The featured riders were the Shoeheel brass ensemble- Ashton Oxendine (flute), Sequoia Hunt (baritone), Jacobs Chavis (trombone) and Justin Locklear (trumpet) playing for the on-lookers. Other participants rode and walked beside the float sharing the Gospel. A large banner was placed on each side of the float encouraging those who read it to Know Christ, to Grow in Christ and to Go Share Christ. The church is actively looking for the opportunity to spread the Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ not just at parades but in our everyday lives. If you or your church are interested in how to begin or enhance your evangelism outreach please feel free to contact Dwayne Lowry 910 258 2024.
