We celebrated Mothers Day at Riverside Church by acknowledging the mother with the most children in church, in which Sis. Ann Oxendine received a beautiful hanging basket, she had 3 children in church. Sis. Camma Morgan was honored as the oldest mother in church Sunday and received a hanging basket as well. We also honored each one of our mothers including our visitors by giving them a gift as well. We encouraged the congregation to encourage their mothers to keep on praying for the lost children and to keep on fighting the good fight of faith. Thank God for all you praying mothers and I encourage you to keep on the path of righteousness for the prayers of the righteous availeth much. God Bless All You Mothers!

On November 22, 2013 we put together good baskets for eleven families in our church and in the community. The members of the church purchased the turkeys and the Good Samaritan Men's Group supplied the canned items that they had collected thru food drives that where held at the church. With each basket they received corn, string beans, stove top stuffing, sweet peas, and a variety of foods that allowed each family to have a really nice Thanksgiving Dinner and of course a 12lb turkey with each basket.

We took the opportunity with each delivery to hand out tracks and a church activity sheet to invite each family to church. We thank Riverside for such a wonderful mission that allowed a small group of families that we were able to provide a small amount of food that showed our thankfulness of what God has provided for us. For only by the mercy and grace of God, there go I.

On October 9, 2013 we had a special service at Riverside Church, with a special speaker from Trinidad, Rev. Nirane. Rev. Nirane delivered a powerful sermon from John 3: 1-8, "Ye Must Be Born Again." It was surely an eye opener to hear the Brother from Trinidad preach to our hearts and to our spirits. We would also like to thank Rev. Lonzo Oxendine and the Maxton Full Gospels youth group for coming and singing to our hearts. Thank you Bro. Nirane for the preached gospel and would love to have him come back and preach to our hearts again and hear about the wonderful work he is doing in Trinidad and a special thanks to all those that travel to Trinidad from the conference, keep up the positive impact that you are having in the work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
