Our mission is continually adding to the Church by presenting the Word, mentoring, and equipping believers, so they are stirred with a sense of urgency, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the surrounding communities with a love that transforms non-Christians into disciples of the Cross.

20 year Service Award 2018 (Hopewell)

IMG 0083web

Sunday at Hopewell our Sunday School Superintendent Brother Ricky Oxendine honored Loretta Allen and Sheila Sampson with a 20 year service award from our conference through our Sunday School their testimonies stirred our hearts. Sister Loretta spoke of the day our Native American preachers decided, "freedom to have a voice," was more important than sitting in the back of a church with no voice.  We became a conference and because we became a conference she said she had a place to serve and come to know the Lord. Sister Sheila spoke of a day over 20 years ago after a stirring sermon by Reverend Patrick Cummings. She gave her heart to the Lord and service always follows a true believer. I told them we need 20 more years from them. The work continues at Hopewell!

The work continues at Hopewell. Brother Joseph Locklear has a passion for young people for that I am grateful as he stands with the young people to his right. He spent time teaching them the Book of Discipline that is part of our journey to full membership.  Pray for them as we guide them. Kyle Ransom (center), Hannah Allen and Devin Bullard the youth of Hopewell Holiness Methodist Church!
